Robert grew up in Connecticut and received his B.S. in Athletic Training from Canisius College in 2004. That same year, he worked as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer with the Washington Commanders before attending graduate school at the University of Houston. He earned his Master of Education in 2005 and worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the football team.

Over the next 12 years, Robert served as a certified athletic trainer at St. John's University, Rutgers University, and UC Irvine. In 2020, he returned to school to obtain his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stanbridge University and has been working in hand therapy since passing the NBCOT board exam in 2022.

In 2016, Robert moved to Southern California with his wife. He enjoys going to the gym, being outdoors, scuba diving, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
