General Information

Newport Orthopedic Institute takes every precaution possible to protect and promote the health of patients, visitors and staff. Please review important tips below:

Please cancel and reschedule your appointment when:

  • You are sick
  • You have a fever, cough or runny nose
  • You have diarrhea

Clean your hands:

  • When you enter or leave our medical offices, surgery centers or the hospital
  • After sneezing, coughing or blowing your nose
  • Before eating
  • After using the bathroom

What you can do to prevent infection and illness:

  • Get vaccinated
  • Clean your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, throw the tissue in the trash after use and always clean your hands afterwards
  • Stay home when you are sick and remain at home until at least 24 hours after you are free of fever
